Guidelines For the 2020 Topic A Essay ExamplesAs you consider the 2020 Topic A Topic Essay, think of a question that is current and yet which can also be turned into a new question. Do not make the question too far removed from your current question. If your question can be turned into a new question it could be used as the 2020 Topic A. So just ask a question that can be moved to the new question.
When writing essays for college students, we usually want to see students engage in what they are writing about. But sometimes when students get stuck they will stop reading and simply put down the essay. But how can we tell when students stop reading? The most common question that stops a student reading is: What can be done about this situation. When asked, I often hear phrases like, 'You can do nothing 'We don't know 'It will be a long time before this problem is solved.' Or even worse, 'Nothing will be done about this problem,' or 'I don't know.' Because I asked this question, I understand how it stifles reading and stops many students from participating. Of course I am not trying to discourage students from expressing their opinions; I believe in the ability of students to speak up and voice their ideas. The problem is the use of the word 'nothing' because it communicates to the reader that there is nothing being done to solve the problem. So next time the students ask: What can be done about this situation, rather than saying nothing, express the writer's opinion about the answer to the question, How can we solve this problem? I believe it communicates more clearly that it is the writer's opinion, not the student's. And so if you ask: How can we solve this problem?, the writer is expected to tell the reader that 'A.C.C. C.I.S.T. There are ways to solve this problem, it doesn't mean we know how many ways, we can think about it, we need to talk to each other about it, the Student Council needs to talk with the administration about it, we can do some research, write a curriculum or even something as simple as brainstorming can come in handy.' Use the open-ended question to determine whether a new question is needed. In doing so, you will be able to choose a new question that is completely different than the one that was there before. And you will be given a choice as to which question to use, either the open ended one or another different question. Another technique you can use is to put one part of the issue into the question and then move on to another part. You can continue to ask questions until you feel you have covered all the answers to the open ended question. This technique works very well in many situations and if you use it you can move on to a new open-ended question. By asking yourself this question, you will be better prepared for the 2020 topic An essay examples, by practicing it in the current essay examples, as well as by developing the technique to use it in future essays. You will get more questions with which to work and also be better prepared for the practice essays.
